The Indian research center Prajnya has released a new survey of civil society peace education programs in South Asia. Read the report here.
This study is part of Prajnya’s Education for Peace Initiative, funded by the Sir Ratan Tata Trust. According to Prajnya, the Initiative’s “vision is to teach peace by fostering the learning of skills conducive to communication, healing, tolerance, reconciliation and interaction between people with divergent interests and creating capacity for the resolution of conflict and the creation of a sustainable peace.”
Prajnyais a Chennai-based non-profit center for research, public education and networking, working on issues relating to peace, justice and security. Its Managing Trustee is Swarna Rajagopalan, who also blogs here on the ASI blog.
